    Feeding Schedule
How stringent should a feeding schedule be. My BP is due to eat again next Friday. But, I'm going out of town Friday morning ad won't be back until Sunday. Should I feed him Thursday, Friday or Monday (Can't feed Sunday because the store where I get my mice is closed on weekends)? I haven't had him very long, but the guy I got him from said he fed him every 10 days.

Thanks in advance for any info.

It doesn't have to be exact. Feed him when you can.

Don't forget, however, to feed him at all.

I think bumping it up a day or two won't hurt.

Cool, that's what I was thinking, but I just wanted to make sure. His last feeding was delayed a couple days because he was shedding. And is every 10 days a good time to wait? I'm feeding him a large hopper (last night it was just a little bigger then that)

    Thanks again.

I feed every 5-7 days, depending on the animal.

I feed 5-7 days for hatchlings, 7 days for yearlings to subadults, 10 days for adults (unless breeding).

If he is only eating hopper mice then thats not much food and could eat every 5-7. How old is he? Hopper mice is what I feed hatchlings. He may be ready for something bigger like a rat crawler or small mouse.

The guy I got him from fed him large hoppers, the mouse I fed him last night was a small adult I think. I'm still kind of confused on what is what when it comes to larger feeder mice.

Take alook at the largest diameter of your snake and you want to get a mouse that would fit inside that diameter. you dont want the snake to have a lump when it is done feeding but with the right size you should not notice it. Ball Pythons have small necks so some pepole that are new to feeding snakes, like to feed under size prey.
