    Monopoly at McDonalds
I looked and didn't see any post here on this yet, I was just curious if anyone else was playing. My wife and I weren't planning on playing but simply went to McDonald's a couple of times and found out we have almost every piece, of course we are missing the rare pieces but I just thought it'd be interesting to see who else was playing :)

That game has sucked so much in the last few years I doubt if we'll even play this year at all. It used to rock, with free food all the time and some smaller prizes that were winnable.

It's kind of like 20 ounce sodas- Mt. Dew especially used to have promos and you would win all the time (and FREE stuff, none of this buy one-get one crap!). Now you barely 'win' anything- or you have to put a code into their website. Just give us free stuff, people! :)

Hehe....I remember the very first McD's Monopoly game. At that time, the game pieces came on little cards...meaning, they weren't attached to cups or fry holders. My sister's boyfriend worked at McD's....so one day, he hands her three GIANT bags of game pieces! :O We sat and opened every single one of them. Won a bunch of free fries and small drinks and junk....but not a single decent prize among all those pieces.

I haven't played since, except to occasionally check for "instant win" pieces.

So post the ones you've got so those of us that don't go there very often know which ones would be rare...

This years rares are boardwalk, pennsylvania ave, ventnor ave, kentucky ave, tennessee ave, virginia ave, vermont ave, short line, and mediteranean ave. These are the only ones we need from like, maybe 3 trips to mcdonalds.

We've also won a few of those Toys R' Us bucks, footlocker bucks, and some medium fries/sodas/mcflurries.

Don't get me wrong, if someone wanted to split the money with me and they had Pennsylvania and I had the other two I'd split the money with them, but if I got it myself, I'd just keep it, because knowing that it's the rare one, you spend 30 bucks or so at McDonald's (on some of the 1 dollar things that give you 2, or better yet the hashbrowns which for 1 dollar you get 4 pieces!) and you're damn near guaranteed to get the piece you need.

Someone on craigslist in my area is saying he has boardwalk, and he'll split the money with whoever has park place. I doubt it's true, but I e-mailed him anyway. The one drawback to that is, if you win the million, it's payable over 20 years, so you'd have to keep up with the person for 20 years. :-p
