My little beauty isn't doing so well
Months ago I received a very small mouse from the pet store which was intended for food. I have never seen a mouse of her color before. Her beauty got to me and she has been in our family ever sense. Once she was older and a lot healthier we decided to bred her. During her whole pregnancy I was excited to see her babies.
Once they were weaned we separated them from her and was intending to give her a nice long break. Well that has only been a week and she looks pregnant again. She looked great and healthy yesterday but as of tonight she is looking a bit weak. I feel so bad for her and hoping that she will pull through.
Here are some pictures at random times throughout her stay here.

Oh she is gorgeous! I love the fawn color, something I'm trying to breed in my rats. I hope she gets better.

Not sure what you are feeding her...but I would suggest you really up the table scraps and high fat/protein foods. If she got pregnant back to back she has pry lost most of her reserves which means her body is eating itself.
I had a rat that I accidently let this happen to and she did the same thing (got really skinny, started to loose her hair, etc.) I gave her nothing but table scraps and perilite (to drink) for 2 weeks and she was able to pull through and went on to live a good ole long life.
Hope this helps,
Sean

What a darling, pretty baby! Are her babies the same? She reminds me of a satinette (I think) rabbit. I hope she does better. All I can think of is maybe dry kitten food for more protein (40%), adult cat (usually between 30-36%), or maybe turkey start-grow crumbles if that's too much (28-30%)... Kitten food works at least for keeping the weight/condition up on my birds, especially during molting season (which comes right after the laying season's done up).

For my breeding colony I use the cages found on Big Apple. In the food slot there is a 24/7 offering of Lab blocks and Monkey Biscuits.
Once a night they also get:
Cheerios
Lentils / Split Pea
Wet Monkey Biscuits (Every ones Fav)
Sunflower Seeds (For babies / prego Females )
Once a week or sometimes less:
Raisins
Apple slices
Letus (every once in a while due to stools)
Green Beans (Only when available)
Rice (Normally Brown Rice...sometimes White)
Noodles (Normally less than every week)

Last night I gave her brown rice and kitten chow added to nightly meal.
I just checked on everyone this morning and she didn't eat nearly what she normally does. Some of the food was gone but she is looking a bit uppity tonight.

With her first litter I bred her to a solid dark brown Male (sorry I don't know the technical terms for coat colors/patterns). Most of the babies were her color and red eyes, some however had blotches of grey on them. Two were born with black eyes and had a brindle pattern, they are older now the two black eyes look totally different now. I will see if I can get some pictures tonight.
For this litter coming up only possible way for her to be pregnant is by one of her sons.

Thank you everyone for advise and kind words. I really think she is going to hang in there.
