Yes, I was wondering that, too. But he had the snake's head in a shot or two. At first, I was excited I got them all right, but then I was disappointed b/c I wanted it to be a harder test. They say that they change the test now and then, so check back some other time....

It's not a real test, the site is merely pointing out that there are only four basic types of venomous snakes native to the U.S. A lot of people think more snakes are venomous than not and will kill any snake they see for no apparent reason.
Everyone should be able to identify a venomous snake in the U.S. immediately, it's not hard, there aren't that many kinds.

Well I got the 5th one wrong... I could have swore that was venomous.
But I guess it was just a Northern Watersnake.
I feel like a loser! :(

woo hoo i got them all right!!!
Re: Can you identify if a snake is venomous or not?
I got them all right, but they were only snakes I was already familiar with.
I'll have to check it again for different ones.
Re: Can you identify if a snake is venomous or not?
Hint: None of them are venomous, ever.

I'd like to try a quiz like that where the pics are all of the snakes in their natural environments...and do mix in some venomous with some that aren't. It's really kind of a no-brainer to see some guy free-handling all those different snakes, although he at least attempts to make a couple of them look "dangerous" by holding their heads.
