Because today it landed me in the emergency room with severe back spasms. Get out the shower, cough, PAIN!

Dude...it is crazy that you posted this!

I have been back and forth to the doctor with chest pains for 2 weeks and they just found out last thursday that I have 2 broken ribs!

I had Bronchitis and was coughing like mad crazy!

About 20 years ago, my mom was driving in the car(just her and me), and she sneezed, causing a disc to rupture.

THIS is why we don't hold in our sneezes people.. I prefer my vertebral discs where they are .. Sheesh!

Crazy posts. My girlfriend has bronchitis, and has been coughing like mad. I'll tell her to take it easy. She's been a mess for days. On the other hand, the narcotic cough syrup she got makes her quite pleasent :D

well I waited too long too go to the doctor to begin with...then when I went to go to bed one night I could hardly move..so I decided I better go to the hospital.

They gave me Tussionex and an antibiotic...the tussionex helped the cough but they thought I had only pulled a muscle and sent me on my way...a week later I was still in MAJOR pain so I went to my doc and she sent me out for a rib series...and later that day they called me and said I had 2 broke ribs.

The problem I had was convincing the doc that I really had a problem and I wasn't just looking to get a few pain pills. That and they seem to think I got hit...in the ribs causing them to break.

Like I am gonna let somebody get a rib shot in on me??? pshhhh...not!

Haha, I can just imagine that having broken ribs would make you miserably sore.

Funny,

They mentioned to me that you can break ribs coughing when I was in there. 4 hours in the ER I wanted to die, sadly even after all the heavy pain meds I'm on the back is still zinging like a you know what. Nice to know I'm not the only one with an odd ball story

yea it is actually kinda funny.

They are sending me to get a CT done tomorrow and then they want me to get some lab work done.

It is really more annoying than anything!

I am a pretty loud person and very active and I am sooooo limited now!

I can't do jack spit.

:hmm:

They said it may take like 6-8 weeks to heal.

I feel ya...

I'm pretty loud and animated myself, now I can't even cough without worrying. I'm 23 for the love of god!!
