I'm about to get a "yard snake" - remeasured

I measured Snakey again tonight. Last time was 7/26 and he measured 31.4" and tonight, just shy of 3 months later, he measured 35.2".

That's about 1 1/3 inches per month.

He was hatched somewhere around Sept '06 so he's around 13mos old now. His time between shedding has gone up alot and he's starting to get really thick now. Also, his colors are changing. His sides are turning yellow and the brown parts of his pattern have darkened to a light chocolate color.

Exciting stuff! (to me at least...)

heh - right after I posted I realized that this kind of thread needs to come with a picture.

Well I have the crappiest digital camera on the planet and, on top of that, he wasn't too thrilled about being woken up for picture time. But I managed to get a couple of decent ones:
