    enclosure... too small?
Ok, so a friend of mine is looking at building their own enclosures similar to the below design from RBI:

    http://www.reptilebasics.com/2x4-Cag...r-p-16258.html

My question is, is each 2x2 side too small for an adult BP? I did the math, the floor area is almost identical to a 41qt Iris tub, the dimensions are just different..

Well I'm guessing he's using a similar design and just changing the dimensions yeah?

IMO, a 2*2 viv probably is too small for an adult Royal, I keep my 2 year old female in a 3*2*2.

That is more than enough space for an adult ball python.... To tell you the truth my biggest bp's are in 32qt tubs, and i dont think they would like it any other way. :2cent: but good luck.

I'd say it depends on the individual snake--it would probably be all right for a male, or a smaller female. Not so much so for a larger female.

they don't need height. I prefer to see them in a lengthy enclosure. I keep the larger bp's in 41qt tubs.

Well he said the floor space is right on with a 41qt iris tib, if so i wouldnt put anything smaller than a huge breeder female in that thing.... Floor space like that might stress a smaller bp out.... Wouldnt want anyone to go off feed.
