Anyone know the arizona laws on keeping kingsnakes?
Checked around online, but all I could find what what animals you couldn't have, and laws on collecting wild animals. Was actually thinking about getting a cali king (thanks to some adorable pics :D ), but just wanted to double-check the regulations. Anyone know the rules off the top of their heads? Or have a website that I could check out or know the proper person to call?
Thanks in advance, sorry for the question!

I dunno a whole lot about any other snakes outside of ball pythons, but i'm sure they don't pose a risk to your life or anything...i doubt they're illegal, but who knows...laws are getting kinda silly..."to protect and serve the uneducated"

Hello I live in lake havasu city az. and kings are ok. There is a reptile shop about a mile from my house that sells them. Amazingly they are a good pet store. All of their animals are captive bred and well cared for. I even know a great vet who was impressed by the place. But yeah get one! :carrot:

Arizona has three very specific laws about keeping kingsnakes...
1. Keep it out of daylight
2. Never get it wet
3. And never, EVER feed it after midnight.
:rolleye2:
I, too, live in AZ. The Tuscon Reptile Expo was a hotbed of king and milksnakes, and since the people who routinely seize illegal animals are in attendance each year (they're the ones who bring the cobras and rattlers and the darling pettable alligator), I think it's safe to say kings are cool in AZ.
