not sure if she is shedding or not
I know that milky colored eyes are a sign of shedding. She usually stays on the warm side of the tank. I have an under tank heating pad, but it does not get too hot to the touch, and i have plenty of substrate. I woke up today, and now her skin is kind of wrinkly feeling all of a sudden, and i can see on the side of a wrinkle that the individual scales are sorta coming off. I have a good sized water dish in the tank, and the humidity stays between 55-65%. and approx 84*F on the warm side, cold side is room temp at around 74*F.

Not sure if she is just dehydrated or just shedding.

    thanks

He sounds like he's about to go into a shed. Bump his humidity up to 70% if you can, by misting, or a water dish with more surface area. Also, his temps should be 90-92 on the warm side, and 80-82 on the cool side, so you'll need more than just the UTH to control his temps. Do you have any pics of your current setup that you have now? You can upload them at imageshack.us for free, and use the [img]url[/img] code to post them on here.

Re: not sure if she is shedding or not
    will do it tonight.

I know you guys are gunna want to kill me. I have 2 bps in the same tank right now. When i bought them, the petco guy said that 2 will live fine together as long as the are fed separately. I know you guys will say to separate them.. The have been living together all of their life since they hatched and i havnt seen any problems. If i do see probs, i will separate them.

    I will take pics tonight.

    thanks

This one is a screen top, so tonight i am gunna line the top with aluminum tape and then a layer of duct tape with an opening for the light, the guy at the shop recommended a 50 watt bulb, not sure if that is enough or not.

I see you just joined. Welcome!

I'm pretty new here too, but I don't think anyone is going to kill you for making mistakes. This is a really supportive community that just wants to help you learn!

You are here asking questions and already trying to fix the problems that were probably caused by the bad advise you got at the petshop. Who can ask for more than that?

petco is not a great place to get a BP or advice. They told you that so you would buy 2 or they just don't have a clue. Your snake is in shed so raising the humidity is good, but since your temps are aleready cool misting is just gonna make them cooler try multiple water bowls. You are gonna need a thermostat and a digital thermometer to check and control temps accurately. You can also get a tub from target for $5 to put the other one in and he is gonna need a uth too. if you have any questions or concerns just ask. Most here have alot of experience but we all started out like you and had to learn. This site has great people and info. Look in the husbandry section for setup info.

    Welcome aboard!
