Lets see your big girls!

I have wondered how big ball pythons can really get. I have had some 5 foot females that were huge but that was the biggest I had seen. Yesterday I aquired the below female from a good friend. He has had her for the last three years. He said that she has laid clutches twice. I have heard that big females don't lay eggs that often. I don't know if that is true or not. I have named this female Pear don't ask why just thought it was cool name. Last night I couldn't put her down I am in love with her. She is 6000 grams my friend told me because my scale won't go up that high. Please post your biggest females I would love to see them and hear if you have had good sucess getting them to lay eggs for you.

What a beast! Do you know how long she is? I like how her back pattern sort of overlaps itself. :)

And I thought a 3000 gram ball was big!!

Is a 6000 gram one that common? Possibly overfed?

Either way she's a monster.

What was your friend feeding her?

There's also been a few threads like this that have been started. There's this girl in a thread I've seen that was named brannagh (sp). That weighed 3200.

That would be our Brannagh. She actually weighed out last night empty at 3,378. :) This is my most recent picture of her taken in June 2007.

Brock that is a MASSIVE girl! I don't have an that big so I can't say what its production might be like... but my bigger girls are just a reliable for me as any of the others.

That girl looks great on those eggs. My friend was feeding her rats. She is so docile! She weighs a ton when you have her on your neck. FrankyKeno your girl looks huge to. Did you say she weighs 3300grams. I thought that I had some big girls but she really takes the cake.


I think that I might need a new cage for Pear. Anybody have some suggestions on what I should get to keep her in?

Put her in an iris cb 110.

I got 1 from bed bath and beyond for 15 bucks. 6 inches longer, and around 4 or 5 inches wider than a sterilite 41qt.

She's very pretty Brock. My largest is over 3000 grams.
