    Maybe getting a RTB
I am looking to get a bigger snake and a red tail seems to be what im leaning to. This will be my first boa. I've read up on them and am ready but id like to hear some tips from people who actually have RTBs themselves.

I am concerned about it getting too long, long enough that it wont be safe to handle. Other then that i think im set, id just like to hear from you all.

BCI are nice snakes. They are rather large and longer-bodied when compared to BPs. But as long as you have seen and held a full-grown adult and are fine with this, you should be fine with their size aspect. This is the best way to be sure that they are not too huge for you.
It can be fun to handle a large female though! My friend has a girl that is around 9' and it can be tough to handle her alone; she'll wrap her tail around your ankle and while you're removing that, her head goes around your wrist and you are calling for help! ;) I got a male and he seems to be topping out at 6', a very manageable size for me.
