Wanted: Snake Photos and Facts for Kids
I will be taking our Ball Python in to our son's school. If anyone could help me with the presentation, it would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to curb any fear of snakes early in life - educate them to be herp lovers.
I was thinking of preparing a poster board with photos. Can anyone "loan" me great pictures to share with the kids? Snakes hatching, eating, or just hanging out being gorgeous?
I would also like to pass out a short list of information on snakes. Any advice on which snake facts you think would be most educational and/or interesting for kids?
If any of you have done this sort of thing before, any advice (short of "don't do it") would be great.
Thank you all!!! It's for a good cause.

Here's a thread that might be of some help to you....

Here's a fun kidzone site that I've used for school presentations (has coloring pages, etc.)....

As far as the actual presentation, how old are the kids in the class you are going to see? Also have a search through our forums using words like "school", "class", etc. You should find threads by me and other members on various school visits.

Feel free to use the pictures in my gallery http://www.ball-pythons.net/gallery/...=3&userid=4173
Re: Wanted: Snake Photos and Facts for Kids
Thanks for letting me use your gallery, GA Ball Pythons.
I will do a search, as Frankykeno said.
The kids will be 3 - 5 yrs old. But we will do a presentation for kids at the library, too. Those will be 6 - 10 (?).
Does anyone have a photo of a snake hatching that I can use?
Thanks!
