    Are you a Bionicle fan?
I just wanted to know if anyone on this site is a Bionicle fan. Just so everyone knows, it's not a bunch of action figures with no plot. Bionicle has been going on for 6 years and has a continually ongoing storyline and even has books, several fan sites, and 3 CGI movies (I'm not counting the video game because it has nothing to do with the actual storyline because it's non-canon). Every single set is made of extremely vesatile pieces so (just like any Lego product) you can combine sets into almost anything you can imagine (without using instructions). Bionicle is not one of those 1-year fads. P.S. I wrote this topic here because this is the "Off Topic Cafe".

It's NOT the little kids kind of Lego because it has a plot and it's not like that at all. It's a theme made by Lego but there's no bricks involved (but Bionicle sets still have pieces). It's entirely different. Go to BZpower.com (which recently approved its 37000th member) and I'll tell you that 3/4ths of the members are teenagers. Bionicle has an ongoing storyline (and has been going on for 6 years now) making it better than a lot of other building themes (such as K'nex).

I'm actually a fan of the old school legos more than I am of the bionicles. With lego, it seemed like you could basically build whatever you wanted where you seem a lot more restricted with the bionicles. Plus they look kind of dumb.

or if mechs are your thing, you can make those too.

We have approximately 2,583,297 bionicle bits in our home. :P

My 11 year old and 5 year old sons LOVE them and they do follow the plot lines and can reel off dozens of completely foreign names of the different types and characters that leave my head spinning.

The tub of bionicle parts we have really is impressive...and all three of my kids enjoy building wild and amazing "creatures" with them. It's a great toy. (If you can keep all those bits contained in a central location! LOL)
