    Look what shaun found today..
    He went fishing and calls me, saying he wished I would have come and that he was looking at a snake about 3ft away from him.

    So he took pics, they were taken with a cell phone so they aren't the best but they are pretty good. Any idea what this guy is?

    Only one of two herps we (or I should say HE) found all summer. Haven't had much luck this summer. He did find a really cute little tree frog around the same place, I moved him up into the trees by the water. People up here would have used him for bait for Tiger Muskie, I couldn't let that happen.

    Yeah its some sort of garter, I was just wondering if anyone knew exactly what species. We have a few different species or sub species up here.

    Thanks, thats what I figured.

    Next year I am starting out early, Rubber Boa hunting :D I found a great spot for it but never got a chance to go back and search around.
