Camera Help, No clue what I'm doing....
My camera just died on me. Every picture has a blue haze to it and is fuzzy. I've been using a simple Olympus c-740 3.2 megapixel. I'd like to take the shots some of you take with macro but literally have zero clue what I'm doing. Reading online reviews the Nikon D40 looks really nice. I want to take reptile pics and of my son, I don't know if this is over or under kill.

If you have other suggestions on camera's or the right lens I should get, let me know. Lots of good looking packages on Ebay, just don't know the right one.

    Thanks for the help everyone....

Sounds like the lens may he dirty or have a fingerprint on it. You can get a cleaning kit from you local camera shop.

The lens could also be broken. That camera I feel is overkill and not worth the money they are asking. This camera is a Sony and it is actually much better than the Nikon.

Sony Cyber-shot H7 Digital Camera, 8.1 Megapixels, Black

It is over better and for about half the price. You could also shop around and find cheaper I bet.

I have the Nikon D40x...It is a great camera, I got the "kit" from Circut city which includes an 18-50 lens, for under $700. The Macro function works perfectly and it is a 10 megapixel so you can size the pics any way you want.
I am camera retarted and I find the D40x to be very easy to use and understand all the settings....

If you are going to buy one (any camera) from Ebay, make sure that the warrantee is American...sometimes those ebay sellers have Japanese warrantees, which means you have to send your camera to Japan for fixes.
