Probably the most haunting yet beautiful sound you will ever hear
Just a wee video of a guy playing the Uilleann pipes. This piece of music nearly moves me to tears everytime i hear it.

    Hope you enjoy

That almost made me cry, its very beautiful. We had a song similar to that played at my great grandfathers funeral.

It is indeed a beautiful sound. My friends father died from cancer recently and the one thing he wanted to do before he passed was to record his own album. Thankfully he was able to get it recorded before the cancer got too bad and on the end of the album is a song called the Hills of Killyclougher. Absolutely beautiful song, played on the Uilleann pipe. Around the town i come from the traditional Irish and Scottish music scene is very popular but it lost one of its best musicians when Paddy Mckeown passed away

    Hi,

    Truly beautiful.

I love the sounds of pipes ( of many types) but can't help but think the man who invents a volume control for them will earn the gratefull thanks of neighbours the world over.:D :P
