    Tank Improvements Final Update
Well my background finally arrived and I know that some of you are curious to how it turned out. It turned out to be a pain in the you know what but it isnt because of the background it was due to my clumsiness. Its basically just a big piece of textured styrofoam just like a styrofoam cooler is made of. So you would think it would be easy to cut. Actually it was pretty easy to cut but in the course of me trimming it down to fit my tank a huge chunk broke off as I was cutting it. Guess I took too firm of a grip while cutting lol. I had to take one of the trimmed off pieces and trim it down to fit it all together. It took much longer than it should have but I finally made it work and I think it turned out nicely. Here are all of the pics so you can see how it has progressively evolved.

    This is how I started.

After adding cypress mulch and artificial plants.

Here is the final product with the new background. It really makes a huge difference I think.

I dont think it will be too bad. I fixed it so I can take the backing out to clean it. The plants I will spray with cage furniture cleaner and rinse with hot water. Same with the piece of drift wood. I also sprayed a clear coat finish on the wood so it would be easier to clean and I glued the plants to it with a hot glue gun. Besides its one of my hobbies so I really dont mind cleaning and doing things to it. Im aslo a student worker in a biochemistry lab so im pretty much used to cleaning stuff all day lol. Now im just waiting for Christmas so I can add a leopard gecko to my little collection of herps.
