    My Normal Girl(DUW)
Hi everyone! I am newly registered here, but got my first ball python in May. I have enjoyed her so much that I just acquired a second. Anyway,I just thought I would share some recent pictures of my original normal girl, who is an absolute sweetie.

Perhaps taking a picture on a leopard print background wasn't smart...

    There is a better background:

With my foot for a size comparison. She is still only about 110 grams on empty, but she eats a f/t rat pup every five days.

That is also her in my avatar. My newest boy is an adorable pastel, but he is so new that he is still in his week long 'destress' period before his first meal. Pictures wil be forthcoming once he has eaten.

She is very pretty...I especially like her back half and the really reduced pattern she has going on.

Very nice and Welcome to the family. :)

Thanks, I love her back half too, especially the little 'eye spot' and the two stripes at the end of her tail.

She couldnt decide what kind of "outfit" she wanted to wear - a busy pattern or a reduced pattern, so she got them both. -lol- I love how the pattern just melts away towards the back. I've never seen that before.

Thanks for all the compliments. Her name is pumpkin, and I didn't even know that her pattern was unique until I started looking around online at all the different morphs. She is a captive hatched baby from Africa ( I must admit to picking her up at a show before I knew much about snakes beyond- Hey, those are awesome!). She wouldn't eat for the first three weeks I had her (likely due to overhandling, yet another thing I have learned on here and why I am determined to leave my new boy alone while he gets acclimated). She has never been defensive or mean though, and I just got her switched over from live mice to f/t rat pups, so she seems to be pretty content now, hasn't missed a meal since the first couple and now strikes the second she sees those yummy rats. I would just like to say that these boards are a great resource. I have learned more in a few weeks stalking around here than I did in all the months before just gathering info from different sites. It is great to be connected with other people who have experience with these animals.
