    anyone out there have thier BP arch his or her back when you gently pet it on his or her back? my male of 4-5 months loves being held and arches his back when i pet him as he slithers about his snakey business

    i just kinda started lightly petting him slowly on his back as he slithered about. he started responding by arching after the initial recoiling as i was taming him.

    When mine first did it he stayed arching for a minute or two. At first i thought there was something wrong with him.

    Ill try to get a picture of him doin it.

    I don't know if my little girl will do that during handling, as we are still in the settling in period...no handling... It is SO hard to wait.

    However, I have noticed that when she slithers around her cage, sometimes when she goes under the driftwood that she'll arch her back up to touch it as she goes under it.

    Wonder why they do it?
