Updated Ball Python Caresheet
Heya folks!
I have updated and revamped the old caresheet to reflect our constant learning process with these awesome animals.

If you see any glaring errors or omissions, please shoot me a PM and let me know.
If you have the caresheet bookmarked, you should not have to change it.
Hope this is helpful to folks, both experienced and new! :sunny:

Re: Updated Ball Python Caresheet
same viewing trouble here. :( looks like good reading material. :D
Re: Updated Ball Python Caresheet
Thanks for pointing that out! I'll get that fixed asap!
Re: Updated Ball Python Caresheet
Ok...hopefully that fixed the issue. If anyone continues having trouble with that, let me know and I'll do something different. :)
Re: Updated Ball Python Caresheet
Idk what the problem was before, but I just read through it with no problem. Nice update :salute:
Actually, I've got a question... When refering to temps(coolside in particular) are you refering to surface or air temps. My cool side surface in the coolhide drops to the high 70's at night(due to changes in my rooms temp), however my coolside air temp stays at about 80. Both are measured w/ Acu-Rite (surface temp w/ probe).

Thanks. :)
As for the temps...I'm not sure I understand how the ambient temps on the cool side could be about 80, but the inside if the hide would be cooler? Regardless though....ideally, you want the entire enclosure to maintain 80-82 degrees or so...with a warm "basking" spot about ten degrees warmer.
Re: Updated Ball Python Caresheet
B/c of some heating problems I've placed the heat lamp on the cool side (the hotside stays at about 90-92 with my new Tstat :) ). The bulb is above the cool side hide and my Acu-Rite is on the back of the tank leaning on top of the coolside hide. The Acu-Rite's probe is under the cool side hide, b/c I have another digital thermometer on the other side. I'm assuming that the bulb heats the enclosure's air pretty well, but the surface temp on the cool side isn't effected as much due to the shade from the above heating source.
It's just a hunch... but I know alot of people on this site use 1 Acu-Rite to measure the cool-side-air and the hot-side-surface temp. I have a feeling that the surface under many cool-side-hides are cooler than what the Acu-Rite is reading, even though the unit is placed in the same area.
