Herpstat question/ increasing outlets

I love my herpstat, but as it comes, it only has 3 outlets to attach heating devices to. What is the best/ safest way to increase the amount of heating devices to be attached to this thermostat, of course not going over the wattage. I would like to hook up 6, or 7 cobra mats ( all the same wattage) to this one thermostat. Can I use a strip? Thank you in advance! :)

Which one do you have? I have the pro, and it has 1 outlet for each probe, but they are not grounded so I can't use a regular strip. The most I've been able to find is an extension cord with 3 outlets.

I have both the standard/ base model, and the Herpstat ND. I wonder then, if you could use an adapter that turns one outlet into 2 or 3. Those do come with a 2 prong set up. I guess since I just realized the 3 outlets are not grounded , a strip probably wouldn't work, most strips have the 3 prongs.

Just use a grounding adapter to plug between the thermostat and the power strip. The ground on the power strip is not needed anyway since your heat source most likely doesn't have a ground wire. Another option would be to just cut the ground plug off the power strip.

I thought about just cutting off the ground, is this safe? I wouldn't see a reason why it wouldn't be, but better to be safe and ask than burn down my house or something...

Its safe as long as you cut it short, avoid the other prongs, and only use the strip for ungrounded stuff thereafter.

Adapters are found in any hardware store (heck I've likely got a handful of them in my kitchen junk drawer LOL). That's the route I'd go personally.
