    New Tat! And great weekend...
Yep, gotta new tattoo! Nothing too crazy or special:

    http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...pple02/tat.jpg

It stands for free/independent. Represents finding myself, learning more about myself here in my new life in Indy, and breaking from everything in the past that was painful or hurtful. (Sorry for the graininess---it was taken on a cell phone at a bar afterward, lol!)

It was such a great weekend! I had two college friends come over from Ohio and we hung out in Broad Ripple (a 'burb of Indy). I got the tat, had dinner, had a few drinks at the bar and talked forever. We split a hotel room and slept late, then went shopping... it was sooooo much fun! I love them so much and was glad they came down---they were what got me through my hard times and I'm still so greatful. Can't wait until December when we plan on getting together again!

What a great reason for a new tat, Lynn! Sounds like you had a blast with your friends. Good friends will get you through the worst of times. Remember what they say....friends will help you move....good friends will help you move the body. :devilish:

Great friends are the best thing in the world!

Plus, Jo, good news! I found a great apartment complex in Broad Ripple that meets my budget... it's within walking distance of many of the places we went last night and looks great. Going to check availability with them... so hopefully, I'll have my own place again soon!

Very cool tat, Kanji are awesome. I can't help but think that that location must have really hurt

I'm thinking of getting my first real tattoo (if I can find a place that's good and kinda cheap) and have been asking everyone I know who has one (or more) just what it feels like...I've always been very afraid of needles. I put up a thread about my idea with a pic of the potential snake pose.

Anyway, cool tat and good luck with that new place!

Made my teeth vibrate. :) And my friends were sitting there talking and trying to get me to laugh, which I couldn't...

I always wear my hair down at work and you can't see it at all with the hair down. I wanted it that way... I wanted people to be able to see it when I allowed them to. I also work in a very professional atmosphere...

Haven't mentioned in the forum yet, but I just took on the position---along with Event Coordinator---of personal assistant to the VP of Sales and Marketing (can you say, no time for sleep, and definitely time to ask for more money??? LOL).

i love your tat!!! and i love the symbolism as well. every tat i get has so much meaning in it... and (for me) that's a big part of getting the work done. i wouldn't want to just put something on me for 'whatever'...

i soooo want to get a tat on my face and neck... i just need to wait to discover what it is i want done first. i've been wanting something for about 12 years now... oh well, it'll come to me when the time is right :D

Great tat and glad you got to hang out with your friends, I know how awesome it is to get to hang out with friends you haven't seen in a while. I have a buddy of mine I haven't seen in a while coming to charlotte for the baby shower in october and I can't wait!
