    Rat Pink CPR?
One of my females just gave birth to 10 babies. One I noticed was really blue, but was still moving a bit. I scooped it out and started to gently rub on its chest until it took a few good deep breaths. Put it back in and now it's pink like its siblings.

I think I just performed rattie CPR?

Way to go Robin! I know with dogs the stimulation triggers a breath. If you ever decide to go for mouth to mouth make sure Karl gets a pictures. :giggle:

Funny you should mention that, I sort of went on instinct from when I've assisted in C-sections at Canine Assistants and getting the puppies breathing (since they are also under anesthesia - lots of stimulation, and holding the puppies on their backs and firmly holding their whole body doing swings downward to expel any mucus from their mouth). So I immediatly just lightly but vigorously moved my finger on its chest area until it took a few breaths.

I think I probably would have drawn the line on mouth to mouth though! LOL
