I agree on the timing but what are you feeding him? 680 grams at 2 years seem kinda a small to me.

I agree, every 7 days. What size prey are you feeding?

I feed all mine an appropriate size prey once a week regardless of their age or size.

A small rat every 4 weeks (unless the animal will not eat) is not offering it enough food. If it refuses thats one thing but to not offer that's another. :D
Most will eat every 7-10 days like clock work I have some that would eat every day their my scaled chainsaws then some like My 06 Mojave are just picky and might eat 1 mouse and then 3 week later a small rat and then 2 weeks later 2 mice but not rats.
But the thing is I offer and she eats when shes hungry. I
Offer the food even if they don't eat let their not eating be their choice not yours.

Re: feeding
It's all up to you. You can feed BP's mice for their entire lives ( might take a few per week) or you can try switching to rats. If you really want to switch to rats, I suggest to only offer appropriate sized rats, every 5-7 days for juvies, 7-10 days for adults. Do not switch back to mice even if he refuses to eat ~3 weeks (pending on the health and fat reserves the BP has to begin with). If your BP gets hungry enough, he will eat it. A little trick that you can try if he doesn't eat the first rat offered, put mice bedding in with the rat for 30 min-1 hr to 'scent' the rat. This usually temps the snake enough into eating said rat.
Some BP's completely refuse to eat rats, so it's really a judgement call as to when to give up trying to feed rats and just going back to mice.

O I misunderstood you wanted to know if you should to get him accustom to it.
