Brumation

i know it is not absolutely necessary to brumate a male if you aren't breeding but i want know what i should set temps to and humidity to or if i should even attempt it i used to own cornsankes and attempted to breed them and was told to stop feeding for the duration of the brumation peiod really i am more concerned about do i really need to stop feeding over that course of time and could it be fatal if done incorrectly plz tell me anythin you know

Ball pythons don't brumate and you can actually kill them if you drop the temps too low. However, most breeders drop the temps during breeding time in order to trigger the breeding response and ovulation.

You do run the risk of an URI with the dropped temps so just keep and extra close eye on any symptoms. On another note, many people seem to breed successfully without dropping the temps at all so you might want to give that a shot.

As far as feeding, many snakes refuse to eat during the breeding cycle. If your snake is healthy and has a decent weight you shouldn't have to worry about them not eating for a few months during the breeding process.

Colubrids breeding and Ball Pythons breeding is completely different.

Ball Pythons do not brumate they are cycled, but do not brumate like colubrids do before breeding.
