what to look for in a pastel
im trying to avoid brown out, I know its not 100% avoidable but id like to know what I should be looking for, there is this reptile store (which takes amazing care of their animals) close to me that my cousin just found (its kinda hidden in a small shopping center) and they have pastels, bees, albinos, spiders, and mojaves (the guy said he has more at his house and if I made a request he probably has it.) but anyways, back to the topic. How avoidable is brown out? I have 3 normals. I dont need another :D aha

I have a pastel i got from bailey and bailey reptiles that has no brown on it at all. All pastels fad as they grow, but you'll still see the yellow in them. Just look for the brightest one and that would be your best bet at keeping the color as they grow.

If you can ask to see the parents and then try to judge from there.

Orange turns brown, so the less orange as a baby, the better. I also look for a really faded head, as I've been told they tend to hold their color better.
