    Help!
I went to go clean Mojo's cage and he has some kind of wierd scale drop right behind his head on his throat. He does not seem to be in any discomfort unless he tries to drop his head too much down on my hand. He did not strike at all when I grabbed him but he is in his hide constantly right now.No mark on him but this mark. It seems like it is a loose skin flap of scales hanging from his neck. Anyone seeing this late at night please info as first thing tomorrow morning calling a vet and taking him in as an emergency. I am so worried about my little dude! Anyone have any ideas what it could be? I will keep all updated.

Its kind of hard to tell without a picture. Calling the vet is probably your best bet if your that worried. If you post a picture I could try to help you out with some advice but nothing compares to a vet visit. Its tough to wait it out but your snake will be ok until then. Good luck and let us know what happens

You think he will eb alright? I am thinking he either burned himself but it does not look like a burn or he perhaps ate too big of a mouse. The one I fed himsemmed bigegr then normal but I swear The mark was not there at all yesterday. I am hoping the onyl reptile place is open early tomorrow.

I got a emergency number for a vet here in town for the exotic animal hospital. I am taking him right now. They onyl charge like 70 bucks for intial fee so I will have to shell that out but that and mroe is worth my little mojo's well health. I will keep everyone updated when I come back from the vets's. I just thank whomeever that they have a rep doc on call tonight.

So I took mojo to the vet and he was not sure if it is a cut or the begtinning fo an absess. He gave me some enrofloxacin (an antibiotic for those who do not know) for him. Seemed like a very knowledge vet to get hold of for 4 in the morning lol. So Now I have to give a baby ball shots for awhile once a day. what fun. Bite time :)

Glad that you were able to get Mojo seen so quickly, and I commend you for acting quickly, even if it meant seeing an emergency vet and paying a little extra! It's refreshing to see someone less concerned with cost, and more concerned with the health and well-being of their animal!

I hope he makes a speedy recovery for you! Now get some rest!

thanks. I was worried it was something bad but he seems to be doing alright. I see no wierd reactions from holding him. the skin flap I guess is what you would call it seems to cause him no pain if I press down on it and it is loose so not full of anything. I am still going to be giving him shots every night as vet told me to though so no worries there. and yes cash was no object and I told the vet that when I brought my boy in. He asked how much of a budget I had and I told him as much as is needed for my little buddy. he just smiled and nodded his head.
