Re: Do they ever chill out?
yep..time certainly helps :)
Re: Do they ever chill out?
Yup. They chill it, at that age though they figure they're food for something and will defend themselves every chance they get. After a few weeks/months, they calm down.
Re: Do they ever chill out?
Usually the first week or so in the rack they are pretty pissy but after a couple meals and you in and out of his tub for cleaning and what not, they calm down a lot. :sunny:
Re: Do they ever chill out?
If you get bitten and he won't let go I've read of people either running cold water over the head or putting a little bit of alcohol in front of their face. In both cases it worked, but I haven't had any personal experiences with it.

They don't normally bite and hang on. They know you aren't food so they aren't going to bite and try to constrict. If/when they bite you it will be a defensive strike, quick and painless at first then it will sting a bit afterwards. You will be more surprised than hurt by the bite.
Re: Do they ever chill out?
If you do get hit with an offensive strike, just wait for the snake to let go on its own. A BP is no threat to you, so just let it play out.
