Just a nice pic of my T munchin
    Hi,

Just had to try and get a picture while she was facing me - was hoping for
an action fang shot but she wouldn't do that while I was looming over her.:(

Still haven't got a tripod so there's a wee bit of shoogle I'm afraid.

But quite happy with the fact that if you look at the front leg on the right
hand side of the picture (near the locusts bum) you can see the two little
hooks they have at the end of each foot.

    Nah,:)

    She's a big softy.

Though the last couple of times I've just lifted the bit of cork she's sitting on and putting it in a spare critter keeper till I've done the rest of the tank.

It seems to be her fave hangout spot however so next time I will have to coax her off it to clean it as well - it has that whole web-explosion look going on.

I actually wondered if she was due a shed as she has been webbing quite heavily lately but the bald spot on her bum ( caused by my last photo session  ) is still bright pink.

    Well,

I got the urge to take her picture with the camera I had just gotten so went into her tank and woke her up and sat her on a table in the middle of my living room under bright lights and proceeded to experiment with the camera (flash/ no flash/macro/colours etc).

She was quite patient for about 20 minutes then started wandering off. Instead of doing the sensible thing and letting her go home I kept on getting closer to test the macro with flash.

She got quite miffed at this intrusion and kicked a bunch of hairs at me - since my face was only about 5 inches from her bum at that point I had to do some extremely quick back peddling.

Since she was now miffed I finally decided to put her back home - only to realise this involved picking up a tarantula who wanted to be left in peace.

By the time I got her back in her tank she had kicked a 4 mill bald spot on her bum and I had to go change, shower and clean the couch to get rid of stray hairs at the bit I like to rest my empty head.

    ** mumble **

Not to annoy the animals or ignore their hints to get me to move in the general direction of away sir. :sheepish:

    ** /mumble **

I also learned I need a better camera with good lenses and a decent lighting system not a point and click and a 150 watt house bulb so I can take pictures from further away.:taz:
