I am getting all teary eyed just reading your post. I was in total shock when I found out. Am still in shock. It is still a little hard to watch the "Croc Diaries" on Animal Planet sometimes. But I am so glad that Terry and Bindy are both continuing his legacy in educating people about animals. I think it is really important to show people that all animals are beautiful, not just the cute &/or furry ones. I also guess that it makes things a little easier knowing that he moved on doing what he loved doing.

Yes, rest in peace Steve, you will never be forgotten!!

Same here. It certainly doesn't feel like it's been that long since we lost one of the greatest assets to the animal world. I was reading the book they made of his life the other day and it was so cool remembering him...

I was so upset the day it happened I couldn't go anywhere or do anything. Granted I am a rather emotional girl, but my feelings then were almost as strong as the day I heard John Denver died. (FYI: I'm named after a song of his, was raised on his music, and considered him a long-distance mentor for my love of the environment and of singing.)

I still tear up whenever I think of Steve being gone... Rest well, my friend. You deserve it, and will never be forgotten.

I was so sad to hear the news a year ago today.:(

Steve was the greatest animal advocate EVER!
He had a passion for animals like no other.
His legacy will live on through his family and the Australia Zoo.:gj:

    R.I.P. Steve
