What day did school start in the US?
I know its different than here in Canada, but just wondering what day specifically did it start this year (like elementary and high school)? For me its starts this tuesday.

Well I know for college some started this past week. A few started on Monday, one I know started on Wednesday. And a bunch more start on Tuesday. I think Tuesday is the maj though.

There was a law passed not to long ago that says school (K-12) starts after labor day.

Here in AZ the kids start back to school in August....the dates differ depending on the school district that you live in. They start earlier than most states but the finish in May.

My son started 5th grade August 21st. They start early, but don't go to school on Fridays.

for my town its the same.. school starts tuesday (grade school) my college starts the 27th of this month

It varies, for public schools in Wisconsin, no school starts until after labor day. This includes the University of Wisconsin.
most of the schools here in IL started mid August.

Here in Northern Virginia no school starts until after Labor day. But other parts of Va have already started as well as DC and some Md schools

Wow....I started college on the 20th of Aug, and my brother started high school that same week sometime. It'd be nice to start that late!! :P

Acutally, it works out for college so that finals are like the week before Christmas. I feel sorry for the professors trying to get all the grades in over the holiday.
