The San Diego Zoo had a two headed corn snake that produced 15 normal(not two headed or anything) offspring. So there have been other two headed snakes that have been able to live healthy lives.

Re: 2 headed ball python
I've got a friend who hatched out a two headed bearded dragon. The little guy lived for over a week. She's got some pretty cool pics of it, I think they were once published in reptiles magazine.

i don't think a two-headed snake is something i'd like to see. i've seen two-headed turtle collectors and i thought it was horrible!

Well, it's not like it's been done on purpose. Two headed animals are the result of incomplete splitting of the embryo. If it's a complete split, they're identical twins, if it's incomplete, they're siamese twins. A lot of them don't live, but I figure if they do, more power to them.

the collecters i met BREED them with this trait. if they happen to hatch a one-headed turtle, they release it into the wild. one had a tank with at least 40 of them in it! i definitely understand that things happen in nature but... that just really rubbed me the wrong way!
