My BP Keeps rubbing its head
ok so i got the white little critters solved. it was the bedding, they sprayed that down with whatever they did to kill them, they used prevent-a-mite on the snake to kill them, they got that off the snake. but now it keeps rubbing its head on the side of the tank. is that normal?
Re: My BP Keeps rubbing its head
him rubbing his head is probly trying to get his shed started
Re: My BP Keeps rubbing its head
is that how most of them start their shedding?

Yeah. The skin should look a little dull too. If your snake doesn't shed within a few days though I would imagine there's another reason for it.
Re: My BP Keeps rubbing its head
ok, is it still ok to pick him/her up?
Re: My BP Keeps rubbing its head
They put PAM on the actual snake?? I thought that was a major no-no... Like a huge major no-no... If the snake itself was sprayed with the PAM I would immediately get him to a herp vet and let them know that he/she had been treated with PAM.

Re: My BP Keeps rubbing its head
Sometimes when a snake has had mites it will shed fairly quickly (this is what I have read, not actual experience as *knock wood* we've never had a mite in the collection). Does the snake appear to be going into shed?
Re: My BP Keeps rubbing its head
no sign of it.
no blue eyes, no dull skin.
