Snake not eating questions

Alright, some old song and dance here people.

I purchased my baby ball August 9th She at a F/T mouse on the 16th.

She then refused the F/T on the 23 and also today the 30th.

I am guessing through past experience I should now attempt to simply feed live.

How long can a baby ball go without eating? I am beginning to get concerned.

Thank you and please do be polite as I am concerned for the health of my ball and are new to Ball's as I have always had corns.

they can go longer than you think with no food! the first thing everybody is going to want to know is what your temps and humidity are like. and whatever else you can tell us about the setup....

I know an easy way to fix Snakes not eating F/t cause mine wouldn't either for a really long time! if your snake is as pickey as mine this should work for you! Go to your nearest local pet store and ask for the bedding from the mice cages, better yet ask for feeder mice bedding. next drop your snakes thawed prey into the bedding for just a second. You want to do this rather quickly so that the mouse doesn't get cold. the smell of the feeder mice is sure to entice any pickey snake! I hope this comes in handy! ( will also probably work with hamster bedding too.. :rockon: )

Hatchlings, or any ball python for that matter, can sometimes get stressed easily. You probably need to check cage temps, humidity, and make sure they feel secure when they are in there enclosure by giving them a hide.

Not eating isn't the problem, it's a sign of a problem or a set of problems so let's start there. Can you give information on the age, size or weight of this snake? Detailed information on it's housing including where the enclosure is, size of enclosure, temps and humidity and how you monitor those, hides provided, substrate used, etc. When exactly did you get this snake and from what source (breeder, snake show, pet store, etc.) Lastly, how often do you handle and the way you thaw and offer the f/t would be very helpful. :)

Welp no problems now. Just another picky eater. Fed her live and bang there she goes.
