Please note, once the temps and humidity are right, I will move that tank, so it will not lean off the edge. There is no snake in there yet :) Anyways there will be about about a 1/2 inch or maybe 1/4 inch gap from the wood to the tub, will there be thermal blockage, causing it to overheat? Tell me your thoughts.

    Sorry for the sideways picture!

From what I can see, it looks ok. How does it look to you? When you close the tub up and measure the temps and humidity over a couple of days...do they stay steady and in the right ranges? If so, then you're golden. :)

Well I just got the flex today, everything is working good. I'm waiting for they Coconut Bark to dry ( the kind that comes in a brick) So its drying, the humidity skyrocketed to 90%! only because of the substrate. Temps could be higher, but I dont want to burn or melt anything.. how hot can flex go without melting, or harming anything.

Looks OK. Monitor i'm figuring you have a digital thermometer to measure temps and humidity. Judy is right run it for a few days and check highs and lows to make sure everything is operating properly and you should be good to go!

How big is that flexwatt? looks like quite a large basking area, could be wrong though.
