First Day...
...of school! And of course I totally forget my camera in the rush to get everything done and get everyone out the door on time.
My littlest guy, Nathaniel, has his first day of Elementary school today. He was SO excited and climbed right up the bus steps without any hesitation or looking back. :tears:
My middle son, Austin, has his first day of Middle School. He's looking so grown up. He was kinda quiet this morning and a little wide-eyed about the whole thing. I think he's as surprised to find himself in Middle School as I am. :worry:
And my oldest, Petra, is off to her first day of High School. Ohmygosh....just yesterday she was a little girl....so who was that young woman that walked out of the door with a huge grin on her face today??? "Bye Mom! I'm off to HIGH SCHOOL!......Only four more years to go!!!" (As if I needed reminding of that fact??? LOL) She's so beautiful! :wuv:
~sigh~ :bye: :bye: :bye: ~sigh~

Re: First Day...
Lol Judy, might just be my imagination, but I don't have too hard a time imagining you standing on your doorstep long after the bus has left waving goodbye!

Re: First Day...
Awww, Judy! It's scary when your babies grow up, I imagine. My sister, brother and I are all right in a row (currently 22, 21 and 20)--so I can't imagine how my mom handled us all going through things fairly close together. And my sister was held back--so she and my brother were in the same graduating class!
It'll be okay, Miss Judy! Just enjoy them as much as possible at every age!

Re: First Day...
Awww Judy, I completely understand! At least you can take comfort in the fact they are excited about school. (I know it's not much, but we gotta grasp at straws) I think the best advice I can give you is to get out of the house. It's waayyy too sad to hear the silence, and if ya need to talk I'm here! (cleaning a house... by myself) Too bad I can't supersize this smilie!!

Re: First Day...
Awww...thanks guys!! :grouphug:
I've got the radio going....and it is kinda nice that it doesn't have to compete with the TV. :P Got LOTS of work that needs to be done today....but might treat myself to a nice lunch out.

Re: First Day...
Thats great to hear. Yeah usually its the middle school kids that are not excited about it. I was and still am not excited, but thats just me....
Thats weird how you have kids going to different school levels, as far as elementary, middle, and high school... :D
what a good mom... :D

Re: First Day...
It IS funny how it worked out....Kindergarten, 6th grade and 9th grade....all in the same year. I'm a tad nervous about being able to keep up with all the different schedules and commitments involved in each of the three schools. Personal organization is not one of my strong points. But I'll be working hard on that skill this year! :D
