    Albino HETs??
If you breed a 100% Het albino with a 100% Het Caramel albino what will you get? Will you get a bunch of regulars or maybe one of each and some possible hets and then some regulars?

You'll only get normals possible het for Albino or possible het for Caramel Albino.

you mean you'll get normals with POSSIBLE het for albino or POSSIBLE het for carmel albino.

i would not go that route. i would work on getting either two 100% carmel albinos or two 100% het albinos.

Wouldn't you have a chance of getting an albino out of that combo? Both snakes are het for the albino morph, one is just double het for caramel.

I wouldn't think so- Carmel Albino's are T+, while Albinos are T- forms of the albinism.

They are two separate morphs. Not compatible in any way.

Absolutely correct. In fact, trying to breed the two has not yet yielded a live birth/hatch to my knowledge.

I'm not aware of it ever producing offspring either.

Yes, "caramel albino" is just the name of a single morph, not a combo. This morph is also sometimes just called just “caramel” or even “xanthic”.

However, I wouldn't be so sure they aren't compatible until someone actually hatches some babies from the two bred together.

Has anyone heard of anyone even trying? I thought it was the regular albino X lavender albino that produced a few clutches with no live hatchlings. I heard later that someone did produce normal looking babies from albino X lavender so the eggs that didn't hatch where probably just bad luck and if the report is right those two are proven not compatible.

I think RDR bred lavender X caramel and proved them not compatible also.

But as far as caramel and albino I don't remember hearing the results of anyone breeding them together. I have heard that one caramel line tends to throw regular albinos from time to time and one possible explanation is that caramel and albino might be alleles (different versions of the same gene) with caramel dominating over albino in the animal with both. The most likely explanation might still be that they are unrelated mutations but until someone makes the cross we really don't know.
