San Deigo gopher snakes

Any one have any info or experience with the San Diego Gopher snakes? how tame are they? what they are like in general? A pet store in my area has them in and I am tempted.

They can be pretty tame. Startling one can definately produce hissing and tail rattling.

I really enjoy having gopher snakes, they have "personality". Mine will often produce tail rattling when he's eating one prey item and i've just dropped in a second (I feed f/t) for him.
