I have a friend who is in India studying and he emailed me some photos of the local herp life and thought I would share them here. Sadly, it seems reptiles are not well liked there and he says that he frequently sees smashed snakes and lizards on the side of the road :(

good pics! i had read about indians having a very distinct hate for snakes but i can't remember exactly what the reason was. i wanna say it was to do with their religion but not sure.... sad...


india is on my top five list of places i wanna go before i die! very fascinating country!
