    daytona surprises!
my first two clutches of cresteds for this season were due within several days of daytona so i decided to pack them up and take them with me just in case they hatched. i didn't really expect them to hatch quite yet, but better safe than sorry. upon arrival in daytona i unpacked deli cup temp incubator and there were 3 babies staring up at me! i think the vibration from the car stimulated them to hatch. then on sunday the fourth egg hatched making for a fun little group to take home with me. even though i didn't buy any cresteds at the show i still got to bring some home! :P

Congrats. Got their first taste of a show lol. I love the bottom left crestie. I'd like to see how that one turns out as it matures.

    Hi,

What do you call the colour pattern on the bottom right one? I think I like that type best.

the one on the bottom right is a partial pinstripe harlequin. it is showing what is called "hatchling red" coloration right now. that was the one that hatched on sunday--the other two harleys were the same red color when they hatched out too. by tomorrow it will likely be the same color as they are and will stay that color for the next few months until it starts to develop its adult coloration. dad is a creamsicle and both moms are yellow flames, so i'm hoping for something creamsicle-ish or close to it! :D

The next thing we'll know, there will be a fad where people start taking their eggs for rides to get them to hatch!

LOL, congrats on your new additions! How awesome is it that you didnt have to spend any money to bring home 4 new adorable cresties!
