accurate weights

i got the better scale and got more accurate weights on everyone.. remember caution and savanna ate yesterday.. meals that were too big (eek)
caution: 102g
savanna: 138g

Isn't it like a law not to handle em for 2 days after they eat? Especially with an oversized meal. Just my thought.

I don't have a scale yet. But when I quit being lazy and get one, ill measure em after each poo.

Congrats on em puttin on a little weight. Now let's just hope they don't regurg that meal.

it would be no different then if i had to change paper.. i lifted them (without even uncoiling them or anything liek that) set them in scale beside enclosure got weight in seconds and set them right back. less than one minute of being bothered.. its been over 24hrs and it isnt like i walked them across the house or anything either. thanks for your concern though

Oh ok. I wasn't sure of how much of an ordeal it was to do. I just don't mess with mine for 2 days.

To get accurate weights you want an empty weight. That is not within 48 hours of feeding and preferably after a bowel movement. Especially since you fed them a prey you feel was overly large, I would have suggested as well that you leave the weighing for 2 to 3 days post feed - both to get a more "true" weight and to avoid disturbing their digestive processes.
