http://www.ball-pythons.net/modules....warticle&id=59 This is the link for the bp caresheet on this site. You may also want to consider using tubs, they're much easier to maintain than glass aquariums.

thats all great info but i meant the thermostats and all that is their any wiring needed are the easy to add to mats and all the kind of electrical side and also where would a heat mat go in a wooden glass front vivarium? Should i use a het mat etc?

Can you describe what exactly you're trying to setup? How big is it? Most thermostats come prewired. You can use a undertank heat pad.
Re: i know what i need but have no idea how to setup an vivarium
The reason you havn't found a "how to set up a glass enclosure" topic anywhere is because there are a ton of different options available. You just have to do your research and figure out which method will work for you.
Here's a start:
Digital thermometer, most use an Acu-Rite, which is about 12 bucks..also reads humidity as well
You need a heat source
You need hides
You need a water bowl
You need substrate (I use newspaper and Aspen)
You need a source of food.

i am setting up a three foot wooden vivarium (going to add plants to make it seem smaller i know about the substrate and food and hides and that side i was concerned if i understood about heat mats and where they would go in a wooden vivarium (glass goes on top of the mat) thnx for the info on thermostats i understand them now
:D
