Someone once told me that if he can get his head under it or through it he can get his body through it. Start by looking in the darkest but warmest areas. My BP got into my couch once, literally in the the frame of the couch in the arm rest. I actually had to remove the fabric to find him and get him out. if you want to try and bring him out start with warmth in dark areas. try taking a couple 2 liter pop bottles and fill them with warm to hot water and wrap them in a towel set them in a dark area. you can also try to trick him to come out by leaving a meal by the warm dark areas. Hope you can find him.

    Hi,

Most people say they end up being found within ten feet or so of their enclosures so i would start with the tank and move outwards.

Check everywhere - even if you think there is no way they could get in there.

try putting a hide on top of a heatmat in a dark corner of the room - if he eats fine for you try putting an F/t food item in there too (yes you need to change this when it gets whiffy :) ).

Do a search on the board for escape - there are tons of little tips to try dotted all over and I can't remember them all just now.

this may sound crazy but it worked for me. first of all he probably didnt get far so just make sure the room he was in last is secure. i couldnt find one of my snakes for almost a month. after tearing apart the room i thought it was hopeless, but then i got the crazy idea to carpet my room in newspaper so if he was to move around throughout the night i would hear him. (remember these snakes are nocturnal) one night i just laid in bed with my light off and sure enough i heard him moving around... GOOD LUCK! keep us posted on how it turns out.

well, i have carpeted floors, its hot as heck in my apt so i doubt the hot hide on the ground has any effect on him, and my place is like a million years old so its probably already filled with mice.

maybe i'll try the newspaper idea tonight i dunno

crowley escaped out of a bag i double tied and put in a glass aquarium in under a few hours. i was transporting him from one house to the other, and we had to stop at mine (we being me and him) weelllllll i go to retrieve him and he's gone! i flipped out and thought "okay, warmest spot in my room" he had bundled up next to my mountian of yarn next to the attic door in my room. the heat was comming from under the door, combined with the warm fluffy yarn ^^.

i would check for cramped warm places. you could also try putting down plastic (cling wrap?) and pouring flour over it in the door ways of the house. i read someone doing that a long time ago so if you think he's out of one room you can see if he's traveling between them.

that newspaper idea was a great one.

I know this probably does apply to pets etc... But I only ever find things I've lost when I give up and stop looking for them... :)
