    Meet Leopold!
Hi there, I'm a first time snake owner and I just got my Leopold last month. My brother came up to visit and convinced me to get a snake (I was afraid of them), and now I'm hooked. He hangs out on my arm all day while I paint and sculpt. :D

And if there are any other Alaska snake owners out there... extra tips on keeping the enclosure warm during the winter are very welcome!

Nice to meet you and Leopold. Is it me, or does he seem a bit slender? May I ask what size prey you're feeding him?

Thanks for all the welcomes! :D

Move somewhere warmer? Nah, I just managed to escape Texas a couple of years ago, and I'm traumatized away from hot climates. (So instead I went to the other extreme? )

So far my only rodent frustration is the illegality of all rats but albinos/PEW's. Since I got my python I've picked up a couple of pet rats and a pair of breeding mice. It's easier than buying them because it's a long drive to get into town. With all these rodents I may be "forced" to get another snake...

During the winter I'll probably have to get some extra heaters and lights. That way I can huddle next to the snake tank to get warm. :P

Oh, and those photos are old, from the day I brought him home. I'll get some new ones. He's eating adult mice now and he's definitely looking fatter.
