At about 5 feet or so he is a rather large male. His dark phase is muddy brown almost black. When I bought him, he had mites, and a bad abcess on his tail, but now he's doing just fine.

I can't believe that snake is almost 5 foot! Nice looking critter!

Thanks guys, I do enjoy the ground boas, but I just love the tree boas.
And yeah, but John, how long did it take me to show you half decent pictures? haha, sorry bout that.

How is their temperament? I've been around Amazon Tree Boas... and never handled without a pair of gloves. But this little guy seems very docile...
I'd love to get a tree boa and make up a nice viv.

He's tame in hand, scared when coming out. But when he's really wrapped onto something and you try to unwind him, he'll latch on and make sure you understand that he's a tree boa and feels uncomfortable when you try to detach him from whatever perch he's using.
But besides these fear of falling type bites from taking him off of things, he's super nice.
