im feeling guilty..

i know our snakes can smell the rats in the house.. they arent in the same room and are not within eye shot either but everytime i sit down at my desk after holding the rats the snakes start stalking my movements.. every 5 days when they eat they tag the mice right away. am i teasing them? our condo is small so moving either the snakes or rats isnt really an option

i've heard it's good for their appetite if they smell it first. but, i guess i don't really know for sure... but i wouldn't feel bad about it. ur not doin anything wrong

They're fine hon. A lot of us keep our rodent colonies close to the snakes. Eventually the snakes seem to get used to it. Just watch you don't handle or clean the rodents and forget and reach for one of the snakes LOL. Gawd knows how many times I've done that and realized that intent snake look means I need to back the heck up and go wash my hands. lol

lol, ive done that plenty of times wondering why savanna is acting weird and then duh lol.. i wash my hands and change my clothes ;)
