Re: 2 rescued balls update
they may appear to be "loving" on each other, but laying together is one or both of them trying to establish dominance. Separate them, let them settle in for a week or two, then try feeding.
Re: 2 rescued balls update
Hi,
The wandering in circles is likely to be checking out the surroundings after a change rather than pining(sp?) for company or anything like that.
With her feeding response I would definately seperate them before feeding him - it's never that good an idea to feed 2 snakes in the same enclosure.
It might be worth trying to think of a few ideas to help him settle in to his new environment like covering the front of the tank with a towel or something so he cannot see you moving about.

Re: 2 rescued balls update
Ok I have never put two of my snakes together. Never crossed my mind to. Well unless I am breeding them. But I was told they have been together from day one. I remember reading about establishing dominance some time ago.
But it never crossed my mind. So after reading the helpfull posts here. This is what I have done. I have moved the male to the bottom of my rack and covered fully with a sheet. The female now has her own tank and I have covered her as well since she is in a new enviroment. But she is still very active and moving about. She is the loudest one of the bunch.
I'l give the male another week and try to feed him. But I am sure she is well off to a good start in her new home.
Thanks for the info guys. I raised snakes for some time but I have yet ran across this situation with uncared for snakes. I'm just glad they found me, where they will have a good home and some one to watch after them.
