If I wanted to make an albino spider...
It will be a while before I can get into ball python breeding (want to finish college before I start spending insane amounts of money on beautiful snakes), but I like to dream of the future.

I've seen it mentioned that to get an albino spider you should cross an albino with a spider, and then take one of the offspring and breed it back... but which ones should be the male/female? Female spider or female albino? Anyone have a good explanation? I guess I'd just like to keep it in the back of my head, hehe.

I loooove both of the morphs, and love the look of the albino spider even more. Are they tough odds to hit?

    Anyone have any pics?

I would start out with an albino female, and when it gets close to breeding age get a spider male. By then you might even be able to get a spider male het albino or at least possible het for about the same price.

Breed that pair to at least produce spider het albino. Breed that back to the adult female albino to produce 25% chance albino spiders. Or if you can swing the spider het albino male produce them first breeding. The main thing is if you have to spend an extra generation growing up a snake you want it to be male as they are more reliable as early breeders.

I would get the albino as the female also. Het males frrom her will grow up to breeding age much faster than het females would. :) Some males can breed at one year of age.. but then again it is not all about hurrying, as you definately seem to know.
