cresties can live in pair, but only female female pairs. males will fight and males and females will give you some unwanted breeding. a 20 gal is good, but you'll have to flip it on it's side so it's really tall. since they are arboreal you'll need lots of vines, branches, and fake leaves.

here is my 10 gal tank. i have my crestie in a tub right now since he's so young. all the stuff thats in his tub now will go into the tank as well.

since they are so heavy there isn't much risk of the aquariums falling.

I've found a 12x12x18 is an ideal setup for a single crested gecko. It affords a lot more visibility than a ten gallon turned on its side and it has nice front opening doors. I rotate a couple plants in and out of it, he sometimes tramples them, and they don't do so well if they're just left in there. I also use a lot of manzanita and twiggy branches, which he REALLY appreciates.

i like those tanks with the 2 front swinging doors, i would like to get one of those for my crestie. but the only problem is cresties are so cool, i might have to get another once i find out if grendel is a male of female, and if she's a she i would buy a sexed buddy for her.

Kagez, I've read that a 20 gallon is ideal for a breeding tank and exo terra makes a tank that's 18"^3, which is around 21 gallons. Right now they're not so expensive, so I might go with that.

Also, the front opening doors are SO nice to use. They've made my life a lot easier. I used a 10 gallon on its side as a breeding tank for a pair of psalmopoeus, but it had limited access and even more limited viewing abilities.

Right now the closest Petco to me has the 12x12x18 exoterras marked down to 29.99 from 79.99 I picked a few up, unsure if this is all over or just there though.
