Omg.. Wt#?!

Okay, so I just went to my petland friend who is the animal guy there and said he was good at sexing snakes. I trust him as he is a corn snake breeder. He showed me how to do it by probing. Then he popped after.

He probed it. Proved it was a male. I learned how to do it. Simple. Then he popped it. As he was popping it, water kinda leaked out of his vent!?!?!?

It kinda just dripped out... WTH?! I was like eye bulging scared out of my MIND. Is that normal???

Eventually the hemipenis was exposed... but WHAT WAS THE LEAKING?!

I was so shocked I didn't say anything. He seemed normal by it. And the BP is perfectly fine with normal behavior as it was earlier. It didn't flinch or anything. Is he okay? I'm really worried. The water was kinda yellowy too. DIdn't have an odor or anything

He squeezed the wee out of the poor snake :) It happens.

It was urine - I'm always peed on when I pop.

Omg, poor thing. I love the little guy. I hope it didn't hurt him or I'd be so mad. He's fine though right? No internal damage or anything?

No - it's completely normal.

qualify that... MOST LIKELY he's completely normal... Wouldn't want someone coming back later saying, "but you said he was fine and now his tail fell off!"

It's completely normal to pee when being popped. I've never heard of a snake having their tail fall off as a result of being popped! :P

LOL Well if somebody squeezed your "best bits" you'd likely leak a bit of urine too! It's fine, I'm almost always peed on when popping...comes with the territory I guess. I had one of my bigger females let go when I was moving her to clean her tub. What a huge mess - liquid urine, urates and feces came cascading out! Boy was I doing the fast feet dance to get out of the way LOL. Darn it she nailed my just cleaned snake room floor!
